I'm always looking for interesting faces, strong personalities, unexpected style, quiet intensity, movement, character, and people with a story behind their eyes.
Some of the most compelling people I photograph have never modeled before. That's part of what makes this exciting.
I'm not looking for one specific age, body type, gender, or aesthetic. I'm looking for presence. Someone who can bring a piece of themselves to an idea and trust the creative process to see where we can take it together.

About ModelScout
ModelScout is a creative casting initiative by ali almazar Photography, an editorial portrait and lifestyle photography studio based in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Through ModelScout, Ali connects with new faces and interesting personalities for select fashion, editorial, portrait, lifestyle, fitness, beauty, and other creative photography projects.
Professional modeling experience is not required. Some projects may be created as collaborative portfolio work, while others may involve commissioned, editorial, promotional, or paid opportunities. The details and expectations for every project are discussed clearly before anyone agrees to participate.

Photographer
Ali Almazar is the First Place award-winner for Jefferson City's Best Photographer in 2025 and 2026 and is a published photographer based in Jefferson City, Missouri creating fashion-inspired portraiture built around real people, individual stories, and genuine connection.
His work spans editorial fashion, families, seniors and graduates, lifestyle portraiture, branding, fitness, and creative collaborations. He works throughout Mid-Missouri and travels for select projects.

Not every submission will lead to an immediate shoot, and receiving a card is an invitation to connect rather than a guarantee of a specific project.
I review submissions based on concepts, creativity, availability, scheduling, location, and the type of story I'm looking to create.

Do I need modeling experience?
No. ModelScout is open to both experienced models and people who have never been professionally photographed.
Does receiving a Model Scout postcard guarantee a photoshoot?
No. The card is an invitation to submit your information and connect. Collaborations depend on the concept, creative fit, availability, and current projects.
Is there a fee to submit my information?
No. There is no fee to submit a ModelScout profile.
Are ModelScout sessions paid?
Most opportunities may be collaborative portfolio projects with agreed-upon images provided in exchange for participation, while some opportunities may be commissioned or paid. Terms are explained before the participant commits.
Where do photoshoots take place?
ali almazar Photography is based in Jefferson City, Missouri and most of the photoshoots will be in-studio with the exception of some outdoor locations in or near Jefferson City.
What happens to the photographs?
Image usage, publication possibilities, portfolio use, social media use, and participant image delivery are explained in the collaboration agreement and model release before the shoot.
Do I have to participate in boudoir photography?
Absolutely not. Participants only agree to the specific concept discussed with them.
